Elyse Einhorn, LCSW is a clinical social worker and child psychotherapist with over 25 years
of experience working with children of all ages
and their parents. She has been in private practice since 2001. In 1994, she received a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University where
her main concentration was with children, adolescents, and families.
Elyse began her career at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan working in pediatrics, counseling children with chronic medical illnesses both in-patient and out-patient units. She served as a therapist in the Department of Pediatrics supervising social work students from Columbia University and conducted parent support groups focused on children with chronic illnesses. In addition, she had extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at The New York Presbyterian Westchester Division Outpatient Child Anxiety Disorder Service. There she also had ample experience co-leading social skills groups for children with anxiety and ADHD; she was a primary therapist providing treatment for children/adolescents with severe anxiety and emotional impairments. Elyse also trained for two years at the National Institute of Psychotherapy in Child/Adolescent Psychodynamic therapy and has completed SPACE training, a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety and other related problems.
Currently, she has her own private practice in Scarsdale, New York, specializing in treating children and adolescents with anxiety disorders.
